Frequently asked questions

The practical information you need before choosing a tour, rental or custom route.

Are taxes included in the listed price?+

Listed prices are before applicable taxes. Your final total is shown during checkout before payment.

Do I need to sign a liability waiver?+

Yes. Every rider automatically receives a secure digital waiver after checkout. Complete it before arrival so the trailhead is for gearing up and riding with zero time spent on paperwork. A parent or legal guardian completes the documents for riders under 18.

Do I need a motorcycle license?+

No motorcycle license is required. Valid identification and rider eligibility are still required for rentals.

Can beginners ride?+

Yes. We match guided routes and pace to the group and begin with a clear orientation. Tell us honestly about your riding and bicycle experience so we can recommend the right route.

How old do riders need to be?+

Guided-tour riders can start at age 10. Youth-bike requests are confirmed directly so we can check rider fit, ability and the right route. Youth bikes are not currently available for rentals.

What should I wear?+

Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Dress for the forecast and bring any additional layers or personal items listed in your booking confirmation.

Is safety gear included?+

Yes. A full-face helmet, gloves, knee protection and elbow protection are included with tours and rentals.

How far can the electric dirt bikes go?+

The Arctic Leopard XE Pro R has an estimated real-world range of 50-60 miles, but actual range changes with terrain, pace, rider weight, elevation, temperature and conditions. We do not treat that estimate as a guaranteed trail range.

How fast are the bikes?+

The Arctic Leopard XE Pro R is capable of up to 72 mph. Tours are paced for the group and trail conditions, not the motorcycle's maximum speed.

Where can I ride a rental in Moab?+

Rentals are for approved off-road areas and routes. Road legality, prohibited areas, range, recovery, the rental agreement and responsibility for loss or damage are explained before payment and departure.

What is the difference between a guided tour and a rental?+

A guided tour includes a planned route, instruction and a guide who adjusts the pace to the group. A rental is for qualified riders who want to explore approved off-road areas independently.

Can families ride together?+

Yes. The bikes work well for women, families, groups of friends and experienced riders because we can adjust power, pace and bike setup. Reduced-height and youth-bike requests require direct confirmation before booking.

Can groups larger than four ride?+

Standard guided departures are limited to 4 riders and guide. Larger private groups should contact us so we can build the right fleet, guide and route plan.

Can I request a smaller bike or lower ride height?+

Yes. The standard XE Pro R seat height is 34.3 inches. A reduced configuration using the smaller Pro S wheel sizes and adjusted suspension targets approximately 32.7 inches before rider sag. Smaller youth bikes may be requested for guided tours, but not rentals; rider age, fit and insurance eligibility are confirmed directly before checkout.

What is the maximum rider weight?+

Our maximum rider weight is 300 lb / 136 kg. Riders close to the limit should contact us before booking so we can confirm suspension setup, protective equipment and the right route.

What happens in bad weather?+

Desert weather and route conditions can change quickly. We may adjust the route, departure time or date to protect the group and the trail.

What experience do I need?+

Experience requirements depend on the route. Shafer Trail and Onion Creek can suit newer riders after orientation. Long Canyon and Gemini Bridges are intermediate and best for riders with some off-road confidence. Rentals are for qualified independent riders.

How long are the guided rides?+

Guided experiences last approximately 2.5-4 hours. Departures run at 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
